The consumption of wheatgrass in the Western world began in the 1930s as a result of experiments conducted by Charles F. Schnabel, an agricultural chemist, in his attempts to popularize the plant.
Wheatgrass is rich in choline and chlorophyll. It is rich in vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and enzymes. The health benefits of wheatgrass range from providing supplemental nutrition to having unique curative properties.
Wheatgrass juice is good for curing asthma, hair and skin problems and throat infection. It also cures constipation, improves digestive system, prevents diabetes and heart disease, tooth decay, detoxifies the blood, helps manage menopause and improves the overall health due to the nutrition.
