Yukon Gold Potatoes

Yukon Gold is a large variety of potato most distinctly characterized by its smooth eye free skin and yellow tinged flesh. Yukon Gold potatoes are a cross between the North American white potato and a wild South American yellow-fleshed variety--this hybrid was developed at a university in Canada and were introduced to the country in 1980.  Yukon gold is a sweet-tasting potato with a golden color.
